About the role

As our Assistant Category Advisor, you’ll help bring the voice of the angler to the shelf! You'll support the Category team by delivering insight-driven reporting, helping to shape assortment strategies, assisting with planograms, and ensuring our retail partners have the data they need to reel in results. It’s part analysis, part strategy, and all impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver insight-driven reporting and data analysis to support category strategies
  • Assist in shaping assortment strategies for retail partners
  • Help create and manage planograms
  • Prepare retail reports and communicate insights that drive action
  • Analyze POS and retail data to identify patterns and trends
  • Work closely with category managers and retail partners to optimize product placement and sales

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, analytics, or category management
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with space planning software and retail data analysis
  • Interest or experience in the fishing industry is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

  • Data storytelling and insight communication
  • Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends
  • Self-starter with ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Fluency in Excel, PowerPoint, and retail data analysis
  • Experience with space planning tools (bonus)
