Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aids in the development and delivery of annual and mid-year evaluations for branch staff.
  • Maintains advanced-level understanding of all aspects of branch workflow, including loan application processing, new account originations, cash vault management, branch compliance, and other operational processes.
  • Supports the process of delivering daily huddles and monthly meetings with branch staff to recognize staff achievements, provide product education, and share meaningful business updates.
  • Participates in external networking and promotional events with local schools, colleges, and other community business partners.
  • Serves as community liaison in representing the Credit Union at community functions and leadership forums.
  • Aids in branch facility-related maintenance needs, including ATM, custodial, security, and other vendors as required.
  • Serves as point of escalation for member issues/concerns within the branch. Coordinates resolution of member issues with other Credit Union departments.
  • Ensures the branch is adequately staffed and that the branch schedule is reflective of traffic patterns resulting in an effective and efficient workflow which will provide an overall exceptional experience for all members.
  • Collaborates with the Branch Manager in the process of hiring, advancement, mentoring and addressing disciplinary matters of staff.

Requirements

  • Required to have the ability to travel throughout the branch network to provide staffing assistance at all branch locations when necessary.
  • Ensures that the branch follow prescribed policy, operational, and security procedures in compliance with internal and external procedures, NCUA, and other regulations.
  • Reviews OFAC matches within designated risk score and provides clearance to staff on false positive matches.

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong organization and time management, problem solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, analytical, sales and problem solving skills in order to effectively manage and attain branch operations and set sales goals.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial products, services, policies, and procedures including mortgages, consumer loans and deposit products.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance. This includes, but is not limited to SAFE ACT and BSA.
  • Familiarity with PC applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must exercise sound judgment and independent discretion in all areas of responsibility.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Bilingual preferred: Spanish.
