About the Role

Join our dynamic banking team and lead with excellence! As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in orchestrating the seamless operation of our branch, fostering a trusted environment, and elevating the customer experience. This role offers the chance to influence our community’s financial well-being and grow professionally within a reputable institution.

You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure the branch functions with efficiency, security, and warmth. Your expertise in residential mortgages, IRA services, and personal banking products will empower you to deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Step into the Branch Manager’s role during their absence, managing staff and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee Head Teller and Teller teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Build a strong branch identity, promote sales initiatives, and champion exceptional customer service.
  • Personally connect with clients and prospects, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure satisfaction aligns with our high standards.
  • Review and approve transactions such as large check cashing, bank checks, and ledger entries while maintaining strict adherence to policies.
  • Strive to meet and exceed branch performance metrics, focusing on operational controls, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Enhance your banking acumen and sales techniques through training, workshops, and ongoing education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Cash handling expertise.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Well-organized and adept at managing multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to lift 10–20 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous banking or financial services experience.
  • Familiarity with residential mortgages, IRA services, and personal banking products.

Schedule

  • Full-time position with hours aligned to branch operations:
  • Mon–Wed: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Thu: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Fri: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sat: Closed
  • Sun: Closed

Employees may need to remain 15–30 minutes after closing. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Occasional travel for training, meetings, or branch support.
