Assistant Branch Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence.
• Assist the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Solve problems at the branch level, including investigating customer complaints (e.g., damaged items, overcharges, shipment/delivery delays) and making necessary resource adjustments.
• Manage operational branch-level problems, investigate inventory discrepancies, and make adjustments as required.
• Serve customers and support counter and inside sales functions as necessary.
• Ensure all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Schedule staff and analyze budgets and variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for more than 20% of the average workweek. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be required, and an acceptable MVR is a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Generally has 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.
