About the role
Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for its Boulder, CO location. The position offers an hourly rate of $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing the branch's retail growth and profitability.
- Coach and develop staff, establish and uphold customer service standards, control expenses, coordinate staff efforts, and handle various operational tasks.
- Hire, train, direct, and communicate performance expectations to employees; evaluate performance, recommend promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments; address performance issues and take corrective actions, including termination.
- Maintain a highly qualified staff, including management and a floater pool, if available.
- Develop and coach staff to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring adherence to customer service non-negotiables.
- Engage, motivate, and lead staff to achieve branch goals, promote, refer, sell, and cross-sell bank products and services, and coach staff to uphold the same standards.
- Monitor teller lines for compliance with banking regulations and Bank policies; resolve any issues.
- Schedule and monitor daily activities of staff, including transaction approvals; order daily cash requirements and manage cash vault and staff cash limits.
- Uphold all security policies and procedures and serve as primary support for the branch Security Coordinator.
- Ensure all deposit, cash, and online posting differences are reviewed and corrected daily.
- Provide backup for staff as needed and fulfill all staff responsibilities.
Requirements
- Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with math calculations.
- Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills.
- Sales ability and persuasiveness.
- Interpersonal skills, including trust, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact.
- Exceptional customer service, sales, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Working knowledge of bank operations.
- Ability to develop and achieve group goals within defined parameters.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
