About the role
The Assistant Box Office Manager plays a crucial role in the Box Office, supporting the Box Office Manager and ensuring high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and schedule reliable box office staff and disseminate event information regularly.
- Manage the box office and serve as Box Office Manager on duty in the absence of the Box Office Manager.
- Ticketing for children's performances, including Children’s Festival and Student Discovery, as well as select rental/Insights events in collaboration with Associate Director of Education.
- Prepare weekly ticket sales reports via Tessitura and Excel.
- Aid in the subscription renewal process and creation of marketing lists.
- Support group sales manager and telemarketing partners by coordinating the dissemination of weekly/ monthly sales information.
Qualifications
- High School Grad/GE Degree, and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Bachelor's and 3-5 years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Tessitura box office software, sales and performing arts administration preferred, as well as customer service.
- Previous supervisory experience is also strongly preferred.
