Assistant Baseball Coach - Temporary

Responsibilities

• Aid in the recruitment of student-athletes on a national and international scale.
• Manage the recruiting database of potential recruits.
• Plan and organize on-campus visits.
• Assist in all aspects of coaching a nationally competitive Division I baseball program, including knowledge of the sport, coaching strategies, and student-athlete development.
• Participate in overall program planning and organization.
• Travel with the team to away competitions and assist with team travel coordination.
• Auxiliary in the management of social media platforms.
• Support alumni events and development of Friends Group.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent coaching experience.
• Previous recruiting experience.
• Collegiate or professional playing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• First Aid, AED, and CPR certification within four months of hire.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage team dynamics.
• Experience in coaching at the collegiate level preferred.
• An understanding of the fundamental role that intercollegiate athletics can play in the educational development of student-athletes.
• The ability to uphold the Department of Athletics mission and values.
