About the role

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Assistant Bakery Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction through the management and leadership of Bakery Clerks and assisting the Bakery Manager in the daily supervision of Bakery Department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Order and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Maintain merchandise rotation and display building
  • Monitor incoming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery products
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
  • Dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedule that includes night, weekends, and holidays
  • Show an outgoing and friendly behavior, have a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers
  • Show good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders, perform general housekeeping in the department, clean and sanitize work area, stand for up to 3 hours continuously, vertically transfer tray up to 5 lbs., vertically/horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs., and adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $22.80 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
