Assistant Bakery Manager

About the role

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction through the management and leadership of Bakery Clerks and assisting the Bakery Manager in overseeing department operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise Bakery Clerks
• Order and control inventory, ensure product quality, and oversee Bakery team
• Execute rotation of merchandise and display building
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor Bakery product quality
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment
• Operate and maintain deli equipment
• Validate adherence to company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Follow all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers
• Good communication skills and ability to give and take direction in a team environment
• Able to answer phones and take special orders, perform general housekeeping, stand for up to 3 hours continuously, vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs., vertically/horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs., and operate various kitchen equipment
• Able to adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit
