About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker to join a dynamic team creating a unique menu of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail to create one-of-a-kind breads
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more
• Stand, lift, and mix as daily requirements
• Maintain attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler and sanitation standards
• Work through change and remain flexible while monitoring baking processes

Requirements

• Schedule availability to work afternoons/nights (shifts start around 11 am – 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday when the store is closed)
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts during holiday seasons
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; willing to train the right person)
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus
