Assistant Baker

About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a passionate part-time Assistant Bread Baker to join our dynamic team. You’ll help create a unique menu of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads using honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail to produce one-of-a-kind breads
• Lift and handle large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies (up to 50+ lbs)
• Stand, lift, and mix for extended periods
• Maintain flexibility and adapt to changes while monitoring baking processes
• Comply with local, state, and federal food handler and sanitation regulations

Requirements

• Afternoon/evening availability, including Sundays (store closed)
• Shifts typically run from 11 AM to 7 PM; holiday seasons may require overnight shifts
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking or pastry experience preferred (but not required—training available for the right candidate)
• Formal baking or pastry education is a bonus
