Assistant Baker

About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, and community as we are! In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind breads
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more
• Stand, lift, and mix as daily requirements
• Maintain flexibility and adaptability while keeping a close eye on baking processes
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Schedule availability to work afternoons/nights (shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday when the store is closed)
• Ability to work overnight shifts during holiday seasons
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; willing to train the right person)
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus
