Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor Breast Surgical Oncology

About the role

The ideal candidate will have completed or will soon complete an SSO-approved fellowship in Breast surgery or complex general surgical oncology. This full-time, 12-month salaried faculty appointment in the Clinical Scholar Pathway is available at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The position includes attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Medical Center as part of the University of Vermont Health Medical Group.

The candidate will:

• Provide clinical care for breast patients at the University of Vermont Medical Center and affiliate network sites
• Serve as a member of the University of Vermont Cancer Center
• Engage in research activities, either clinical, translational, or both
• Teach medical students and surgical residents

The University of Vermont is Vermont’s only academic medical center and the only ACS-verified Level 1 trauma center in the state, providing tertiary care to patients from Vermont and Northern New York.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $450,000–$475,000. This range reflects the combined total based on dual employment by both the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Health Medical Group and does not include all components of compensation.
