Assistant /Associate Professor of Immunology - Veterinary Medicine

About the role

Rocky Vista University is launching an exciting new College of Veterinary Medicine in Billings, Montana, seeking forward‑thinking educators to help build an innovative, student‑centered veterinary curriculum grounded in real‑world clinical excellence. Faculty will collaborate with peers to design, develop, and refine courses, teach, mentor, and innovate in state‑of‑the‑art facilities, enjoying exceptional quality of life, a welcoming community, and unparalleled outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the knowledge, growth, and overall development of veterinary students through contribution to courses administered by the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences.
• Deliver assigned lectures, run small groups, review and contribute to course material, develop and review exam questions.
• Conduct research and scholarly activities in Immunology, with emphasis on One Health, Wildlife & Conservation Medicine, Climate Change, Zoonotic Diseases, and Public Health.
• Advise and mentor DVM and graduate students.
• Engage in independent and collaborative research, including projects suitable for veterinary student participation.
• Participate in University activities such as Faculty Senate, Departmental Meetings, Departmental Faculty evaluations, and College/University committees.

Requirements

• DVM and/or PhD from an accredited institution.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certification preferred.
• Experience and interest in Immunology research highly desired.

Pay

Salary range: $149,864 – $196,539 per year, with final salary set based on skill, knowledge, experience, education, credentials, and Faculty Rank as determined by the RVU Rank and Promotion committee.
