About the role

The Computer, Electrical, and Software Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Science and Cybersecurity for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory undergraduate computer science and cybersecurity courses and laboratories.
  • Contribute to recruitment of students.
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
  • Participate in course and program assessment and development.
  • Engage in university/community service.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Cybersecurity, or a PhD in Cybersecurity with a focus on Computer Science, or a related field.
  • An MS in Computer Science with extensive industry experience may be considered.
  • Significant industry, entrepreneurial, and/or teaching experience is preferred.
  • Potential research contributions to the Center for Aerospace Resilience are a priority.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively in English.
  • Prospective research contribution to the Center for Aerospace Resilience.
  • Three letters of reference.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Computer Science and Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with aviation/aerospace applications is desirable.
  • Ability to teach introductory undergraduate computer science and cybersecurity courses and laboratories.
