About the role
Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of tenure track Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Health and Natural Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences. This position involves teaching, scholarship and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level and/or upper-level biology courses. Travel from Warner Robins campus to a satellite campus will be required.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses
- Assist in student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and serving on departmental and university committees
- Travel among our campuses as needed
Requirements
- PhD degree in Biology or related field with special attention given to the following area of expertise: anatomy and physiology
- Prior successful teaching experience
- Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Biology or related field
