About the role

The Department of Neurology and the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics at NYU, a world-class patient-centered integrated academic medical center, seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor on the tenure-eligible academic track at NYU Langone Hospital—Manhattan.

Responsibilities

  • Significant academic research record with a major emphasis in the human genetics of neurogenetic disorders.
  • May include seeing outpatients or inpatients with neurogenetic disorders.
  • Teaching medical and graduate students, neurology residents and fellows.

Requirements

  • MD-PhD or MD degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
  • Special expertise in the area of neuro-genetics.

Qualifications

  • Peer-reviewed federally funded research activity preferred.

Skills

  • Strong interest in academic missions of the Department of Neurology and the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics.

Pay

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community needs, and other factors: $240,000 to $300,000.

Schedule

The effective date of appointment will be 9/1/2025 or later.
