Responsibilities
- Lead the charge in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
- Dive into pioneering research and academic scholarship in Geriatric medicine.
- Collaborate with various departments and area hospitals to promote interdisciplinary care and drive the Division's growth.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development for residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
- Enhance and expand clinical and training programs tailored to the unique needs of the communities we serve.
- Provide comprehensive medical care in both hospital and outpatient settings.
- Work closely with nursing, administrative, and support staff to optimize patient care.
- Participate in committees and projects that shape the future of our field.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible and fellowship-trained in Geriatric Medicine.
- Licensed or eligible for a clinical practice license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Holds an MD or DO qualification through an accredited institution.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be passionate about Geriatric medicine and eager to contribute to the advancement of the field. A strong commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research is essential.
Skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset are crucial. Proficiency in geriatric assessment, treatment planning, and patient advocacy is also required.
