About the role

The Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of computer science with focus on AI/ML.

Specialty Areas of Interest

• Theory and applications of artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) in robotics, health, biometrics, and cybersecurity
• Autonomous systems, human-machine interface, and cyber-physical systems

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a closely related field
• Ability or potential to develop and sustain an independent, internationally recognized and competitive externally-sponsored research program
• Collaborative skills within multi-disciplinary teams
• Teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
• Evidence of potential to attract competitive research funding
