Assistant/Associate Professor
About the role
The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech seeks to hire two tenure-track positions in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting August 2027. Candidates with research and teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality, scholarly research
- Teach at the graduate level
- Participate in departmental and college activities
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or be in the final stages of their dissertation for an Assistant Professor position
- A scholarly research record commensurate with a tenured appointment for an Associate Professor position
Qualifications
A qualified candidate must demonstrate the ability and interest to conduct high-quality, scholarly research as well as the ability for high-level teaching.
Skills
Strong research and teaching skills are essential.
