Assistant/Associate Professor
About the role
The University of Minnesota invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate level in the Accounting Department at the Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
Responsibilities
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in accounting or a related discipline from a recognized research university prior to beginning employment.
- Demonstrate potential for teaching and research excellence, including publications in high-quality journals in accounting and related fields.
- Show commitment to serving the department, the school, and the profession.
- Conduct theory/analytical research or be interested in researching and teaching in areas of AI adoption and integration.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in accounting or related field.
- Preferred qualifications: Potential for teaching and research excellence, publications in high-quality journals, and interest in AI adoption and integration.
Benefits
The appointment will begin August 2027. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $290,000, depending on education/qualifications/experience.

About the Department
The Department of Accounting consists of eleven tenure-track faculty members committed to excellence in teaching and research. The tenure-track faculty teach accounting courses to undergraduate and masters’ level students, and accounting research seminars to PhD students. The faculty conducts empirical/archival and theoretical/analytical research in accounting and related disciplines.
