About the Role

The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Biomedical Engineering beginning in Fall 2026. The position is open at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. While applications are welcome in all areas of Biomedical Engineering, candidates with expertise in bioinstrumentation, bioelectronics, embedded system design, or AI applications in medical devices are especially encouraged to apply. Industrial experience is also welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate integrated lecture/laboratory courses in Biomedical Engineering.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence and continuous improvement in teaching.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and scholarly activities, including engineering education research and development of industry partnerships.
• Contribute to MSOE’s mission of building an inclusive community of experiential learners dedicated to solving complex challenges.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field by the start of the appointment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution is preferred.
