Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to teach successfully.
- Record of scholarship or professional achievement.
- Absence of conflict between teaching and scholarly activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to institutional goals.
- An outstanding track record of academic research and teaching experience in the field of Public Policy or Public Administration.
- Experience and/or demonstrable potential in leading an academic program.
- Preferred qualifications: Administrative experience in academic program leadership or equivalent professional experience in public service management; demonstrated interest in fundraising and resource development.
Requirements
- Teach classes in public policy, public law, and/or American politics.
- Provide curricular leadership.
- Support faculty development.
- Engage in external relations.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Director and Moynihan Center leadership on strategic planning and program growth.
- Receive two course releases per academic year as compensation for administrative duties.
Pay
Assistant Professor: $90,838 - $102,017
Associate Professor: $102,408 - $121,194
Professor: $122,201 - $126,333
Plus an additional $30,000 administrative supplement.
Schedule
The Academic Director will work a full-time schedule.
