About the role

Faculty in the department of Pediatrics will devote full-time attention and efforts to fulfilling at the highest levels of professional competence the ethical, educational, and academic duties and responsibilities of the appointment as may be assigned to you by the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Participate fully and with distinction in both undergraduate and graduate medical education
  • Engage in the training program for all learners in the college
  • Provide clinical services in your specialty of Pediatrics at the assigned clinical location
  • Engage in research and scholarship

Requirements

  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
  • Membership and in good standing on the medical staff of the University of Toledo Medical Center and affiliated hospitals
  • Active candidacy or diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics – ABP
  • Experience with research and clinical studies
  • Experience with collaborative quality improvement projects
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate department needs

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a 3-year accredited Pediatric residency with suitability for performance of Primary Care
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and self-motivation with the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changes
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity is essential
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own transportation to accommodate on and off work activities
