Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, Adjunct) Neuroradiology
About the role
The Department of Radiology at the University of California San Diego is recruiting clinical faculty to join its Neuroradiology Division. UC San Diego School of Medicine is ranked among the top research-intensive medical school programs in the nation, and the Department of Radiology is one of the most innovative and productive academic radiology departments in the country, offering advanced imaging services that support exceptional clinical care and cutting-edge research.
Responsibilities
- Provide subspecialized neuroradiology imaging services across UC San Diego Health, the region's only academic health system
- Interpret brain, head and neck, and spine imaging studies
- Participate in advanced neuroimaging techniques and multidisciplinary care
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to scholarly and research activities
- Participate in conferences, quality improvement, and other division and departmental initiatives
- Support a range of departmental activities
- Opportunity for hybrid work, depending on clinical needs
Pay
$400,000 - $430,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application):
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree
- Have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California
- Current fellow in an ACGME-accredited Neuroradiology program or have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Neuroradiology fellowship
Additional qualifications (required at time of start):
- Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
- Possess a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology at the start of the appointment
Preferred qualifications:
- At least one year of experience with clinical teaching
- For recent graduates, board and CAQ eligibility will be considered
Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
