Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, Adjunct) Plastic Surgery

About the role

The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, and Division of Plastic Surgery are seeking academic plastic surgeons with an interest in complex reconstructive plastic surgery.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality training and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Providing clinical care of patients.
• Engaging in research activities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have an MD or equivalent degree.
• Candidates must have completed an accredited Plastic Surgery residency program.
• Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
• Candidates must have completed fellowship training in Microvascular Surgery or other advanced subspecialty by the start of the appointment.
• Candidates with a track record of scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications and research involvement, are preferred.
• Candidates with experience in resident and medical student education through teaching and mentorship, are also preferred.
