About the role

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time academic position in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Additional training in Microsurgery is preferred.

Primary clinical responsibilities

  • General plastic and microsurgical reconstruction at UC Health locations including Parnassus, St. Francis and Mt. Zion campuses
  • Support as the wound care director at the UC Parnassus campus
  • Call responsibility at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, in addition to UCSF Health locations

Additional responsibilities

  • Education of surgery residents and medical students
  • Active participation in the Department’s residency training and educational programs

Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
  • Additional training in Microsurgery is preferred

Salary and benefits

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
