About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego is seeking General Pediatricians to join the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, Newborn Medicine, and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. The Division operates multiple clinics across various locations, serving as primary training sites for medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinics provide comprehensive care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, focusing on evidence-based clinical care and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents
- Support the mission of teaching and research
- Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Mentor trainees and contribute to quality improvement and research efforts
- Flexibility with work hours, shifts, on-call duties, and locations
Requirements
- MD or equivalent degree
- California medical license or equivalent certification/permit
- Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics

- At least 2 years of general pediatrics clinical experience preferred

Pay
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
