Assistant, Associate or Full Professor
Position Summary
Indiana University Indianapolis Department of Biology School of Science invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to begin January 1, 2026. Competitive salary and start-up funds are available. We invite applicants with a dynamic research program in Hydrocephalus, ideally with large animal experience and an interest in drug development. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and contribute to our nationally recognized Hydrocephalus Research Center.
About the Role
The Department of Biology is home to 24 full-time faculty, more than 700 undergraduate majors, and over 50 graduate students in Ph.D. and M.S. programs. Indiana University Indianapolis is Indiana’s leading urban public research institution, serving over 30,000 students and supporting more than $450 million in annual research funding. Our faculty are engaged in cutting-edge research across cellular, molecular, and organismal biology, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and core facilities.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and contribute to our nationally recognized Hydrocephalus Research Center. The faculty are expected to mentor students and teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates with expertise in neuroscience, physiology, or biochemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree (i.e., PhD). Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a two-page statement of current and future research, and a one-page statement of teaching interests, philosophy, and experience. Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree (i.e., PhD), postdoctoral training in Biology or a related field.
