About the role

The UCSF Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is seeking a full-time member in the Health Sciences Clinical and Clinical X Professor series (at the rank of Assistant/Associate) to provide Physical Therapy services at the Outpatient Pediatric rehab clinic at Precision Cancer Medical building. Expertise and documented excellence in evidence-based pediatric practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Practice evidence-based, high quality care
  • Support the UCSF/SFSU Graduate Program in Physical Therapy
  • Evaluate and treat children with developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions
  • Provide targeted play-based exercises and therapeutic interventions
  • Teach students in the clinical setting
  • Represent the department within UCSF and the surrounding communities
  • Maintain an active dialogue with UCSF referring providers and within the UCSF Health community

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a DPT degree from an accredited DPT Program
  • Board-certified or board eligible as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist
  • Current CA State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of CA to practice
  • CPR certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years clinical experience
  • Pediatric outpatient experience

Qualifications

  • Meet all requirements by the time of hire
  • List pending qualifications upon submission

This position initially is comprised of 95% patient care and 5% teaching. The faculty member is expected to participate in university governance, faculty meetings, departmental administrative meetings, quality assurance programs, and continuing education.

Pay

The minimum base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $183,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
