The School of Information Sciences (SIS) at Wayne State University invites applications for one open rank tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Advance scholarly agendas in their given fields, complementing SIS's strengths.
• Deliver excellent instruction for students.
• Contribute to the SIS community engagement mission.
• Perform research and teach in areas such as Information management and ethics, data analytics, cybersecurity, web development, and database management.
• Teach one of the SIS core courses.
• Contribute to the online teaching environment.

Requirements

• PhD in Information Science, Information Management, Data Science, Library Science, or related field.
• Research and teaching experience in relevant areas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse student populations.

Qualifications

• Track record of scholarly achievement and teaching effectiveness.
• Experience with online teaching and learning environments.
