About the role
The School of Information Sciences (SIS) at Wayne State University invites applications for one open rank tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
Responsibilities
- Advance scholarly agendas in their given fields, complementing SIS's strengths.
- Deliver excellent instruction for students.
- Contribute to the SIS community engagement mission.
- Perform research and teach in areas such as Information management and ethics, data analytics, cybersecurity, web development, and database management.
- Teach one of the SIS core courses.
- Contribute to the online teaching environment.
Requirements
- PhD in Information Science, Information Management, Data Science, Library Science, or related field.
- Research and teaching experience in relevant areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse student populations.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.
- Track record of scholarly achievement and teaching effectiveness.
- Experience with online teaching and learning environments.
Skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor and advise students.
