Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Accounting

About the role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting.
• Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through ongoing high-quality peer-reviewed publications and other scholarly activities, in accordance with Baker School of Business criteria.
• Advise and mentor accounting majors, supporting their academic, professional, and ethical development.
• Actively promote the accounting program both within the institution and externally through professional engagement.
• Participate in normal service activities, including departmental and school-level committee work.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an earned doctorate in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution (ABD candidates will be considered for the assistant professor level if the dissertation defense is expected before employment begins).
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Preferred: Active professional licensure (e.g., CPA, CMA), professional experience in accounting or a related field, and a record or potential for publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed academic journals.
