About the role
Champlain Insurance Group is a fast-growing, specialty, surplus and excess lines insurance enterprise. Through our affiliates, Champlain Specialty Insurance Company, WestCongress Insurance Services LLC, and WestCongress Risk Services LLC, we offer primary and excess general liability insurance solutions and claims administration throughout the United States. We are seeking an Assistant Account Executive to support Account Executives within the Artisan Contractors or Energy casualty business.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Executives with the evaluation, rating, quoting, and binding of new and renewal submissions
- Interact with insureds and brokers on tasks related to intake, evaluation, binding, issuance, and modifications of insurance products
- Analyze and screen submissions
- Issue endorsements and cancellations
- Issue quotes, binders, and policies
- Respond to and resolve billing inquiries
- Solicit underwriting information for new and renewal business
- Perform policy rating, including entry of loss and exposure information
- Request additional information post-bind to complete file
- Conduct file maintenance
- Maintain service standards by providing timely responses to broker requests and inquiries
- Interact with producers to communicate the status of open submissions, ensure complete submission files, and clearly present price and terms and conditions offered in any quote or indication
- Provide a superior customer experience
- Prepare quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, and amendments
- Support producers and insureds with any aspect of an existing or prospective account to increase new business and optimize renewal retention
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience with a carrier, MGA, or other insurance producer underwriting general liability and excess liability accounts
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Able to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work outside area of responsibility to support business growth
- Ability to organize work and perform within time constraints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in math, typing, Microsoft Word & Excel, and other computer software & systems
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the insurance industry
