Assets Protection Team Leader (Bossier City, LA)
About the role
The Assets Protection Team Leader (APTL) plays a crucial role in keeping guests, team members, and the brand secure. This role involves leading a security culture, responding to theft incidents, and managing shortages to ensure profitable sales.
Responsibilities
- Deliver guest experience commitments and ensure consistent operations.
- Observe and provide feedback to team members, hold them accountable, and recognize great moments.
- Review and manage area metrics to identify opportunities and align team on the right behaviors.
- Support total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available to guests.
- Influence and validate physical security and safety processes during store response and emergency situations.
- Develop, coach, and lead your team members to elevate their skills and expertise.
- Anticipate staffing needs and support talent planning.
- Identify and address theft and shortage trends in your store.
- Implement and follow up on operational changes as directed.
- Communicate AP priorities to the team, peers, and leadership.
- Build relationships inside and outside Target, including with law enforcement.
- Ensure the store maintains Target’s reputation and collaborates with retail organization partners to enhance security.
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old or older.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude.
- Effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must be able to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Must be able to interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders.
- Must be able to apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy.
- Must be able to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times.

Pay
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $20.00 - $22.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $20.00 - $34.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience, and certifications.
Schedule
The role requires a flexible schedule, including early morning/overnight shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift lengths may vary.
