Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing global engineering team in the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable, cloud-native microservice applications.
- Partner closely with SRE and production support engineering teams to implement observability, automate incident response, and maintain high availability for mission-critical financial systems.
- Drive engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews, architectural steering, and hands-on mentorship to foster a culture of continuous technical growth.
- Define and enforce global software development lifecycles (SDLC) and industry best practices for robust API contracts and event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and cross-functional product teams to drive consensus on architectural roadmaps and the implementation of high-impact features across multiple time zones.
- Champion the team’s Agile evolution, leading user story refinement, sprint planning, and technical feasibility assessments to ensure high-velocity delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience
- Self-motivated with analytical mindset who can multi-task to solve interesting and difficult technical problems under time pressure and resource constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical global stakeholders
- Experience in building and maintaining applications involving post trade processing and custodial services (asset servicing/corporate actions, cash management and sub ledger) flows
- Extensive experience in managing production environments working with production engineers and global stakeholders
- Experience in data visualization and functional design to create intuitive, data-driven engineering solutions for complex financial datasets
- Experience in integrating AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin, or Cursor) into the development workflow to accelerate velocity and code quality
- Experience developing Java / Spring Boot microservice applications and REST APIs, preferably working with cloud technologies
