Asset & Wealth Management-Senior Cloud Engineer-Vice President-Dallas

About the role

The WM Cloud Enablement Platform team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services across the Division. This role involves working on various components as a Software Engineer, focusing on building connectivity products, solutions, and migrating workloads to the public cloud.

Responsibilities

• Specification, development, testing, and releasing of new features
• Ownership of platforms throughout the lifecycle
• Contribute to the vision, understand customers' needs, business goals, and product roadmap
• Deliver high-quality software and be passionate about software engineering
• Design, deploy, and manage multi-tiered applications that are highly available, resilient, and secure
• Manage issues and risks through the delivery lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-centric products
• Partner with colleagues from across Engineering to ensure an outstanding, useable, and unobtrusive experience for development teams
• Communicate and promote best practices for public cloud application development and infrastructure management across the firm

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years of familiarity with AWS services
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with enterprise software development, configuration and release management, source code and version controls, operating considerations, CI/CD tools, IaC tools, configuration management automation tools, scripting and automation, Javascript / Typescript / Node, networking, system administration, and monitoring and logging tools
• Experience with containerization tools and orchestration tools, AWS CDK, Typescript, NPM, CloudFormation, microservices architecture, and serverless computing
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
