About the role

The Digital Technology team is seeking a Digital Software Engineer for the Asset Management Division in the Digital team in New York. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact by leading innovative projects and collaborating with top-tier professionals in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, ReactJS (or other UI frameworks) to develop robust and scalable applications
  • Apply your basic knowledge of multi-threading and OAuth with Spring Security to ensure secure and efficient applications
  • Develop and integrate with Restful web services to enhance application functionality
  • Implement test-driven development practices using frameworks like JUnit
  • Utilize your experience with build systems such as Gradle, Maven, and Git-CI/CD to streamline development workflows
  • Embrace Agile Operating Models to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment
  • Work with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality products
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas and solutions clearly
  • Approach problem-solving with an open mind within the context of a team, leveraging collective expertise
  • Apply your exceptional analytical skills to make informed, creative, and commercially viable decisions
  • Collaborate with globally located cross-functional teams to build customer-centric products

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with microservice architecture to build scalable applications
  • Awareness of code quality tools like SonarQube to maintain high standards
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and low-latency services
  • Previous experience in financial services or fintech is a significant advantage
  • Knowledge of AWS services is a nice-to-have
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial
  • Experience with Kafka and MongoDB is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to establish trusted partnerships with product heads and executive-level stakeholders
