About the role
The Estate Settlement Services (“ESS”) team works with advisors who service high net worth to ultra-high net worth clients across the United States. ESS is an internal team comprised of technical advisors who provide education, training, and practical guidance to advisor teams to help the advisors efficiently navigate the process of settling client estates and trusts.
Responsibilities
- Review and Summarize Documents: Analyze wills and trust documents and provide clear summaries to help advisors understand key provisions
- Support Advisor Education: Help explain estate and trust concepts in a clear and practical way to colleagues and advisor teams
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal partners, including risk, compliance, and operations teams, to support smooth processes
- Aid in Client Transitions: Support administrative processes following a client’s passing, including coordination with internal teams
- Assist with External Relationships: Communicate with external partners such as attorneys, tax advisors, and fiduciaries as part of ongoing case work
- Contribute to Team Initiatives: Support internal projects, training efforts, and materials that enhance team effectiveness
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is interested in developing in estate and trust administration. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree a plus, but not required)
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience (e.g., financial services, estate administration, trust operations, or related field)
- Foundational understanding of estate planning and administration concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn

Pay
The expected base salary for this Albany, New York, United States-based position is $60000-$100000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
