Asset Manager, Data Center Facilities
About the role
The role involves driving the governance, accuracy, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure assets across the facility environment. This includes owning end-to-end asset lifecycle management, maintaining accurate records, ensuring asset data integrity, coordinating with various teams, conducting regular audits, and supporting maintenance and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end asset lifecycle management, including asset onboarding, tracking, transfers, audits, and decommissioning.
- Maintain accurate records for facility, infrastructure, and operational assets within CMMS, ERP, or other asset management systems.
- Drive asset data integrity by enforcing standards for tagging, classification, documentation, and system updates.
- Partner with site operations, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely intake, reconciliation, and availability of critical assets and spare parts.
- Conduct regular asset audits and inventory validations to ensure compliance, reduce discrepancies, and maintain audit readiness.
- Monitor asset health, utilization, and status trends, identifying gaps, risks, or process breakdowns that may impact operations.
- Support maintenance and operational teams by ensuring asset records align with equipment configuration, maintenance history, and site requirements.
- Develop and improve asset management workflows, controls, and reporting mechanisms to support scale, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures related to asset handling, storage, and documentation.
Requirements
Experience in asset management, inventory control, facilities operations, supply chain, or infrastructure support within a technical or mission-critical environment. Strong understanding of asset lifecycle processes, including receiving, tagging, tracking, auditing, and retirement. Experience working with CMMS, ERP, inventory, or asset tracking systems in a highly operational environment. Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and maintain strong process discipline in fast-moving environments. Experience in data centers, critical facilities, manufacturing, industrial operations, or similar environments is preferred.
