Asset Management Specialist Miami, FL | Full Time Summary The Media Asset Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day flow and full lifecycle of media assets, including ingest, organization, tracking, retrieval, archiving, retention, purging, formatting, and preparation for distribution across streaming and digital platforms. This role ensures content is properly maintained throughout its lifecycle, meets technical specifications and quality standards, and is available to support programming, scheduling, playout, production, and technical operations workflows. The Media Asset Specialist also supports format editing and works closely with internal teams to ensure assets are accurate, organized, accessible, and delivered on time. Essential Functions Manage the complete lifecycle of media assets from initial ingest through active use, archive, retention, and final purge in accordance with operational requirements.Ingest, organize, retrieve, and distribute media assets to support FAST channels and content distribution workflows.Edit and format media assets to meet technical specifications, quality standards, and distribution requirements.Create air-ready master files for streaming platforms, including video, audio, and caption formatting.Assist with correcting media assets that do not meet quality control requirements and prepare revised files for distribution.Support Programming Scheduling and Playout Operations by identifying and submitting missing media assets.Archive original and edited media assets to ensure content is available for future distribution and operational needs.Maintain inventory and tracking of physical and digital media assets.Collaborate with production, programming, and technical operations teams to ensure timely delivery of content.Provide media asset support across current and upcoming channels, ensuring content libraries remain organized, current, and operationally ready.Act as the primary liaison with third-party content distributors and partners, coordinating the receipt and delivery of media assets, tracking incoming and outgoing content, resolving missing or incomplete deliveries, and ensuring assets are received and delivered according to required specifications and deadlines.Support format editing by preparing, trimming, assembling, or adjusting content as required for channel programming and distribution workflows.Monitor media storage usage and proactively manage available capacity by archiving or purging content as appropriate.Monitor incoming content and confirm assets are received, complete, properly named, organized, and available for programming and playout teams. Required Education And Experience Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Digital Media, Film, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience in media operations, post-production, content preparation, or broadcast/streaming environments.Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.Solid understanding of digital media formats, codecs, file-based workflows, and content delivery standards.Experience with media asset management systems, metadata, and digital file organization.Working knowledge of non-linear editing systems such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar editing software.Familiarity with content distribution workflows for streaming, and digital platforms.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and support occasional off-hours operational needs.Experience with media lifecycle management, including ingest, archive, retention, retrieval, storage management, and content purging.Ability to maintain accurate asset inventories, metadata, naming conventions, and retention records across high-volume media libraries.
