Asset Logistics Technician

About the role

The Asset Logistics Technician is responsible for tracking deliveries and inventory with a high level of accuracy while communicating frequently with other team members. The role demonstrates BGIS values in client and team communications.

Responsibilities

• Accept all hardware deliveries and manage asset status as it relates to the movement of assets in and out of the data center.
• Monitor the spare parts inventory and RMA (Return Merchandise) handling, including packaging and scheduling shipments of all equipment and assets.
• Audit asset status in the data center daily.
• Work directly with other Asset Logistics Technicians to coordinate and support asset integration and decommissioning efforts in the data center.
• Support additional shipping and receiving efforts as assigned by the Asset Logistics Lead or Supervisor.
• Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of proven experience in asset management or data center shipping/receiving.
• Experience in asset tracking or ALM (Asset Logistics Management) software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on several simultaneous projects and programs.
• Demonstrated passion for excellence in data center operations.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in a team environment to provide support and excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
