Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, maintaining, installing and/or repairing malfunctions of the equipment in areas of expertise
- Supports external/internal corrosion control programs, ensures adequate monitoring and mitigations, and follows DOT requirements
- Processes corrosion data, generates, analyzes and communicates monthly reports; works with business partners to resolve issues
- Provides guidance and project scoping for corrosion control issues
- Performs the data integration and analysis process relating to corrosion control testing
- Evaluates performance of equipment and makes adjustments as necessary and performs pipeline integrity surveys
- Provides company wide support and training, including standards and procedures development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Asset Integrity Specialist III: High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years related work experience
- Asset Integrity Specialist II: High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years related work experience
- Asset Integrity Specialist I: High School Diploma or GED
- Education and Experience: Associates Degree in vocational, technical or business field preferred
- Physical and Environmental Work Requirements: Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces; carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time; work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment); use hand tools
- Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements: Ability to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as needed; ability to travel to troubleshoot and provide training as needed
- Other Requirements: Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills; excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the upmost priority; must possess valid State Driver’s license with a good driving record; must possess NACE Cathodic Protection (CP) Level I Certification; must acquire Operator Qualification (OQ); solid understanding of corrosion control mitigation methodology and corrosion mechanisms; knowledge of CFR parts 192 Natural Gas and 195 Liquid Pipeline Regulations; basic knowledge of D/C electrical circuits; extensive knowledge of CFR Parts 192 Natural Gas and good understanding of basic D/C electrical circuits; projects field gathering and process facilities for electrolytic and biological corrosion within an assigned area; performs tasks under limited supervision; is able to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex tasks; still requires guidance on unique or highly complex problems
