About the role
Columbus Springs East, part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, is seeking passionate, patient-centric, and goal-oriented team members to join our compassionate behavioral health services team. We specialize in crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use treatment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow up activity.
- Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documenting patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
- Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
- Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies.
- Ensures appropriate staffing for shift, minimizes use of overtime, assists in monitoring attendance, and acts as a point person for clinical decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or counseling and relevant licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, IMFT, RN).
- Valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own auto.
- Ability to meet typing keyboard expectations.
- CPR and CPI certified within 30 days.
- Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
- Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
