The Assembly Technician I plays an important role in building and testing precision electro-mechanical products that support advanced manufacturing and healthcare technology. In this entry-level role, you will follow established work instructions, drawings, schematics, test procedures, and quality standards to help ensure products meet safety, quality, delivery, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, inspection, testing, calibration, and verification of nano-positioning, electro-mechanical devices, controllers, and related components in accordance with established work instructions, drawings, schematics, test procedures, and quality standards.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, test equipment, software, fixtures, and hand tools safely and effectively while developing mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
• Review test results, identify defects or process concerns, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate issues using appropriate technical documentation and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly steps, test results, inspections, nonconformances, and production transactions in accordance with documentation requirements.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support procedures, reduce defects, and contribute to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds.
• Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Specific dexterity abilities required include a steady hand, the ability to handle small objects with care, and force control.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this position is starting at $23.00 per hour depending on the geographic market. This position provides an opportunity for competitive quarterly sales compensation based on an achievement to plan.
