Assembly Technician I

Responsibilities

• Safely operate power tools to ensure precise assembly, prevent defects and minimize risk of injury
• Perform a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing
• Assemble components as required on time and according to quality specifications
• Identify improvement areas and effectively communicate ways to implement change
• Maintain the cleanliness of workstation and assist with entire department housekeeping
• Uphold high personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety
• Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department
• Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments

• Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments
• Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork ethic
• Solid mechanical background
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
