Assembly Technician I (1st Shift)

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician I (1st Shift). The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production goals with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
• Assemble Low Voltage Assemblies and perform tasks such as material allocation, raw material preparation, assembly, electrical testing, and preparing finished products for shipment.
• Work as part of a team and flex across all assembly areas as needed, including Lean Line, Flex Line, and PowerWave2 operations.
• Assemble, adjust, and repair assemblies using fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools; operate layout, drilling, sawing, punching, riveting, caulking, and painting equipment as required.
• Retrieve and deliver materials to the assembly line as needed to support production.
• Apply identification labels and prepare assemblies for shipment or storage during final assembly.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, standard operating procedures, and method sheets; follow written and verbal supervisor instructions.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements.
• Flex to other assembly areas or perform other tasks as needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Three months of industrial manufacturing experience is required.
• Three months of experience using hand and air tools is required.
