About the role
The Assembly Technician at Nomad GCS plays a critical role in ensuring the assembly of high-quality products that meet customer expectations. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow process sheets, create kits, and ensure compliance with Lean manufacturing principles.
- Operate testing equipment such as electrical multimeters, LP leak detectors, high/low voltage meters, and pressure/vacuum testers.
- Cross-train to work on various assembly tasks, including flooring installation, plumbing, door and window installation, stabilizing systems, HVAC, cabinet and countertop construction, welding, and technology integration.
- Collaborate with the team and management to enhance productivity and ensure safety in all operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals of the department.
- Show strong attention to detail and the ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions.
- Show adaptability to work across various processes and willingness to cross-train.
- Show effective communication and collaboration with team members to meet production goals.
- Show initiative and a safety-first mindset in all tasks.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Cabinet or countertop construction
- General construction or finish carpentry
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing (PVC, PEX)
- Hydraulics
- Automotive experience with trucks
Basic knowledge desired includes familiarity with operating a wide range of tools including power drills, saws, sanders, hand tools, multimeters, and pneumatic tools. Demonstrate understanding and application of Nomad Core Values.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with relevant assembly processes.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
