Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test and repair jet engine components and systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on jet engine equipment.
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting issues with engine systems.
- Read, interpret, and follow detailed technical manuals and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and repair.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement and improve testing procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Aerospace Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience in the automobile assembly field of 3+ years can substitute an associate's degree.
- Proven experience as an Aerospace Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of aerospace systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work standing for up to 8hrs per day.
- Learn manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements and Work Environment
- This position is limited to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor.
- Typically, in a manufacturing facility the environment can be noisy and requires the use of protective gear.
- The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting, and can be physically demanding.
