Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and repair jet engine components and systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on jet engine equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting issues with engine systems.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed technical manuals and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and repair.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement and improve testing procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Aerospace Technology, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience in the automobile assembly field of 3+ years can substitute an associate's degree.
• Proven experience as an Aerospace Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of aerospace systems and components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work standing for up to 8hrs per day.
• Learn manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements and Work Environment

• This position is limited to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor.
• Typically, in a manufacturing facility the environment can be noisy and requires the use of protective gear.
• The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting, and can be physically demanding.
