Assembly Technician

About the role

As an Assembly Technician at JBT Corporation, you will report to the Bevcorp Operations Manager. Your responsibilities include assembling or fabricating mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment. You will also perform quality checks, maintain work areas, and operate various machinery.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety programs within JBT expectations (BBSO's, Near Misses, etc.) to include exceeding goals.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints for assembling machines to proper specifications.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets standards and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Use in-house mechanical equipment such as forklift, overhead cranes, and hoists.
• Clock in and out of job/rework/project/builds by use of E10.
• Operate bead blast/power wash/paint booths.
• Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.
• Set up and adjust machines to equipment specifications.
• Maintain work areas and equipment, tools, and machines in a safe, neat, and orderly condition.
• Keep training jacket updated daily with on-the-job training details and level signoffs.
• Perform all tasks with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Great attendance is a requirement.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Lift/carry 50-75 pounds.
• Work with mathematical concepts.
• Balance a quality level of maintenance while staying on a timeline.
• Collaborate within a small team environment.
