Job Summary
Performs and completes assembly duties and responsibilities to produce a finished whole good by assembling parts and subassemblies of optical equipment for the military, law enforcement, and hunting communities.
Essential Functions
- Prepares work to be accomplished by following standard work instructions; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Positions parts in specified relationship to each other using general knowledge of product
- Glues, screws, clips or otherwise fastens parts together using a variety of small hand tools
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Maintains all equipment and tools in good working condition by performing daily pre-shift inspections
- Strives to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards
- Continually seeks to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product
- Ability to learn a variety of different assembly stations
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing): Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity related to repetitive motion, lifting and manual dexterity of equipment and products which weigh up to 10 lbs. Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions which call for multiple different actions based upon product/descriptions, product quantities, product sizes and similar information. Good oral communication skills. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining production time and quality
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Background Prerequisites: Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.
- Preferred Qualifications: Electronics and/or soldering capabilities a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands. Must be able to arrive at shift daily and on time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
